Descrição do ficheiro

Français : Samuel de Champlain (1567?-1635), Carte geographique de la Nouvelle France: 1612. Première carte de Champlain publiée:CARTE GEOGRAPHIQVE DE LA NOVVELLE FRANSE FAICTE PAR LE SIEVR DE CHAMPLAIN SAINT TONGOIS CAPPITAINE ORDINAIRE POUR LE ROY EN LA MARINE, faict len 1612. La carte intègre les explorations et la cartographie de Champlain jusqu'en 1611. L'écart angulaire entre le méridien oblique et la fleur de lys indique que la carte est orientée vers le pôle magnétique pour les compas non corrigés. La carte incorpore le tableau de 1607 et probablement les cartes perdues du Saint-Laurent (1603) et de la côte ouest de La Hève à Canso (Canseau) (1607).
